BLAGG'S BLOG: NOTES FROM A NOT SO NOTE-WORTHY MUSICIAN

AMPLIFY!

Ever have those times when you really wanna know what you're supposed to do next? –Me too!!

Ever feel like there's something you're supposed to do, but you're not sure what it is? –Me too!!

Ever think that what you think you're supposed to do next is not really what you thought you would or could be doing? –Me too!!

Ever have those ah-ha moments when you realize that you may not be sure? –Me too!!

And guess what? I'm starting to learn to be ok with not knowing what I'm supposed to do! I'm also learning that if my heart is pure it's ok to not know for sure if it's even the "right" thing. The "right" thing, I'm learning, is to be ok with God being in charge. The "right " thing is whatever He wants.

That's a good place to be.

Sometimes vision comes like a burning light……or a light bulb.
Sometimes it comes piece by piece as we walk in whatever light we have.
Sometimes vision comes slow.
Sometimes is comes in a split second when we respond.
Sometimes vision comes and it's there before we realize it.

However vision comes, it's always linked to a choice. To obey or not to obey!
Have you ever had that choice? –I have!
Ever chose to serve that vision? –I have!
Have you ever missed an opportunity to serve a vision, for whatever reason? Fear, apathy, sin, laziness, or too busy-ness? –Me too!

My 20+ years as a travelling singer/songwriter have given me a lot of opportunity to serve a big vision and to "chase a dream." The difficult part in all that is determining what to do when the vision runs out! When God told me to "come up for air,” I thought it would "dove-tail" right into the next big vision. It didn't! So I was left second-guessing everything right down to the center of my soul. This soul-searching has made me learn to better trust God in the "fog," just like I trust Him on the “straight-a-ways" when everything is clear and it's pedal to the metal. So, in trusting "whole-heartedly in what He puts right in front of me, I'm learning more about vision.

Those same 20+ plus years on the road have not yet yielded a Grammy, but I think I have garnered something even more cool. A love for the Church. I'm talking about God's Family! All over the world! Big churches, little churches, city churches, country churches. Churches of all shapes, kinds and colors. Churches that are quiet and reverent, to churches where the worship service is "sponsored by Red Bull!"

And don't forget! Wait for the vision! As sure as God is God, it will come. How? When? God knows- and that's all we need to know!

Habakkuk 2:3
3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.”

So, after sharing my heart with you about what I've learned, let me share some NEW vision with you about what God has put in front of me.
